Apple is as likely to leave the computer market as BMW is to stop making cars. Order a new iBook today!

That article is a poorly-argued opinion piece. Not even a rumour...
Any Mac you purchase will give you years of hassle-free computing.

Do what you want. We are not Apple. We do not work for Apple. We just buy their products. So once again, do as you please.

i didnt know punctuation and capitalization was so important in a sentence where we use cartoon faces to express human expressions so sorry boo hoo maybe i will try harder to write each post as though it is my final draft at school except with little add in cartoons

They are only important if you want to be courteous and enable people to comprehend what you're writing without having to re-read it a few times to make sense of it.
"Cartoon face" added to make sure you knew I was merely offering friendly criticism and not wailing on you or trying to be abusive.
Sheesh!

in a medium such as an internet forum where everything that people are absorbing is via the written word its just good form and practice to write english as close to normal as one is able to do it also makes it a hell of a lot easier to read and grok personally I find it to be incredibly irritating to read a post such as this and feel stupider for having wasted my time after all this isnt some aol chat room where the rules of the english language are completely suspended as the idiocy rules the roost u grok wtf omg **** lol

And if you ever played Mechwarrior you would know that you drive giant fighting robots that could stomp on humvees...prehistoric people are just things that get the shocks messed up. ;)
And no, Apple will never go away until they die. Remember the original iMac? Apple was pretty much dead...but now, a few short years later, Apple is doing better than it ever has before!

Sensible reply. Really, omitting punctuation really makes your text unreadable and what is your goal in writing anything (including posting on forums)? Right, you want people to read it. So don't make it hard on people to do so!
I discovered the relevance of grammar when I started out learning it. I discovered that when I read something with erroneous grammar it has the effect of distracting you from the actual content. Therefore I try to be correct when I write.
I'm near perfect when it comes to native language (Dutch) but I also realize my english could be better. That's part of the reason I'm active on a forum like this: learning to express myself in English.
I hope you take the comments in this thread to heart. It will only do you good.

"Opinion" piece by Rob Enderle, he of noted fame (by the fine journalists at 'As the Apple Turns') as being rabidly anti-Apple, generally on crack and wrong (Enderle - Apple to migrate Mac to x86 architecture by end of 2003). If Enderle wrote it, do the opposite, you'll be very happy.

Player CaptainCaveMann has been vaporized by Mechcozmo's Long-Range-Missiles/Laser Cannon Volley!
Note: Mechcozmo's Mechwarrior is driven by a PowerBook G5! (The cooling systems to support that thing...)
