Dubbing - Audio problem

I have a JVC digital camera and trying to transfer the video tape in the camera to a dvd. I have a firewire connected and tried using imovie. I get the video just fine but, no audio. I can hear the audio on the camera just not on my computer. I burned a copy of the video to a dvd using, I believe, idvd. Still no sound on the dvd. I went to the help area and that didn't help.

woah. how odd. it should "just work"!

i would ensure that your settings on the camera appear to be ok, and the settings in imovie appear to be ok (if there are any!). as i said, normally it should just work with that interface.

are you using iMovie '09?

I thought it should work too but it doesn't. I do have iMovie09. I must have a setting set wrong somewhere.
