That's kinda cool!

I know!! now I can use expose completely without my mouse - something I'd not really explored before - try using cursor keys and enter... you can browse round real fast!
Shame they don't publicise these things (unless I just missed em)

Just activate "windows of current app" expose by hitting F10 and then click the tab key to alternate between all your current apps while still in F10 expose mode.
So if you have 1 Safari window and 2 iChat windows open, for example, you'll F10 while on iChat and get the two exposed windows, then press tab for it to jump to the Safari window being exposed. You get a neat little zoom effect when the app only has one open window too.

Some of us need a reminder of the "power" of the Mac.
I like being told (reminded) of this "trick".

This will work whenever you're looking at either "All Windows" or "Application's Windows" via Exposé.
You can also just hit the back-tick/tilde key to view each single application's windows, in turn.

I was trying to get it to work earlier - but I guess I was being stupid, cos I got it to do it now... unless stuff only starts to work if you write it on a forum...
What's that? If you press cmd+shift+eject you get an ipod coming out of your cd drive? You're joking, right?

I like where Konfabulator's Konsposé's command is. I will set dashboard to F8, because F12 is used from Print Screen off my Windoze days. I woonder how many other 'Easter Eggs' are inside Mac OsX?

Holding down shift while hitting F9, F10, or F11 does the exposé tricks in slo-mo.
But if you hit shift while hitting tab, it cycles backwards through the windows by order of apps (just like command+shift+tab).
Either way, I didn't know about using tab with F9 or F10. Very cool!

It seems like a lot of people have the expose features set to F9-F11 or whatever (the default). I don't know about you guys but the first thing I did in Panther was switch expose over to the left side of the keyboard- F1-F3, because that is where key commands and app switcher are done anyway. I wonder why Apple put them where they did. Seems like a bad place.

I noticed this one also, if you hold the open apple, and it tab, it brings up all of the runnig programs so you can switch easy. Everyone probably knew this one but I think it's fun

Hmm, good job Hob. Great to see that people are still finding cool things happening in OS X. This is my new favorite thing, as I use Exposé quite a bit. This is much more exciting than when I tell people that Windows-D will show the desktop :P

F9 shows all open windows and F10 only shows current app windows...but if you only have one apps windows open then it will look the same of course.

Educated Guess... Apple placed expose on F9-11 because on laptops the f1-f2 control screen brightness, f3-f5 control sound, f6 is num lock, and f7 is mirror displays...

Yeah, I use an apple laptop 99% of the time (I only used emacs briefly at my old school - they weren't as good as my pb, and the uni i'm at now has no macs...) and keys f1-f7 are filled with other features, and on the 15" most of the F keys have second functions...

ThanksHere's a little trick you can do with that. First, open the terminal and type in "killall Dock" Don't hit enter yet. Open a window and move it so that the terminal is active, but you can still get to the buttons on the window. Hold shift and click minimize. When you want to freeze the window, hit enter in the terminal. You can actually use the window too! The power of OS X!

All UI (user interface) actions can make use of the holding Shift trick, BTW.
You can also use the arrow keys to determine what window is selected, then press enter. Voila! Exposé magic!
I have something to go brag about now...

I know you guys all know this is possible, I just want to say hiw terribly handy it's become for me to have f8 f9 and f10 assigned to 3 sreencorners. It takes a bit getting used to, but you'll be mousing like speedy gonzales!
Plus it's a lot of fun seeing pc-people going nuts when they're on my mac, not understanding what the hell is going on with all thes windows flying around :D

I only have one corner left after having set desktop to lower left, all windows to upper left and screensaver to upper right. Dashboard will be lower right, so Apple... better not be inventing any other nifty things... I am running out of corners :D

He's a gamer and wouldn't switch because of the delayed and more expensive games for mac.
