I was trying to use disk utility and ended up having to shut the machine down because the disk wouldn't come out (I stopped it before it was finished)
Anyway now the help window pops up when I push it and then fades away.
I will call support unless someone knows what to do here.
Thanks, I LOVE this site!
Brenda :)

Are you referring to the Help Viewer application? If so, try deleting these items:

  • ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.help.plist
  • ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpui.plist
  • ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.helpviewer.plist
  • ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.helpui/

~ stands for your user name
so if you click on the Finder face in the dock, you should see a Library file in the home folder in the Finder that shows up, and make your way to the files above.
