Dear Forum,

I replaced the optical drive in my Macbook Pro 15" 2,5 ghz A1260 4,1 early 2008 with the original HDD shipping with my laptop and I connected to the SATA port a SSD drive. Everything works just perfect except that after leaving the suspend mode and trying to access the HDD connected to the ATAPI port the system freezes. As long as I am just working on the SSD there is no freez at all but I also can't shutdown because it seems the system tries to un-mount the HDD while shutdown the OS and freezes there. The console shows no error. Does anybody has an idea what I could do to analyze this problem.

Thanks! A nice Sunday to all of you ... I am in Japan so I ve to work :(

I think all the tweaks mentioned are just for the SSD and the Macbook Pro is the new unibody model. Mine is still a pre unibody model.

Do you mean that I should uncheck the "Put hard disk to sleep when possible" option in Energy Saver
