Per my post in the Page 2 thread regarding this topic...

I think I'll take advantage of this offer to buy an AirPort Express to be used as a repeater, since signal strength in the basement, where my room is located in my house, is pretty poor. It's usually 1 out of 4, topping out at 2 out of 4 and occasionally dropping to 0 out of 4.

lame, lame lame.....

Only 1 mac actually on sale, and not much of a sale.... lame....

No new iBook under the tree this year. I'll wait until the Tiger intro 10% off sale next year.

or use a Fed or Edu discount.

Amazon.com has $100 off of ibooks. I was waiting to see what the sale would be from Apple and since it didn't include an ibook, one is now on the way to my house from Amazon. $914 after rebate...

Edit: that's a mail-in rebate.

Considering as I just got an iMac on education individual pricing (comparable to this sale) the only thing I'd consider is the AirPort Express -- it's sometimes a spot tricky to get wireless on the second floor, being as the headend with the modem, router, and AirPort is in the basement.

My wife is going to purchase the Airport Express, a price that's too good to pass up. She is interested in the product to improve the reception for her PowerBook.

Good prices on Airport Express (just bought 2 though - oops) also the .Mac is a good price although I have found it for about the exact same price a few times throughout the year for that much from 3rd party vendors. Everything else no big deal. I would like Apple to come out with a real deal like 10% less than education prices.

Great!

Wish they were putting a display on sale. But this is pretty good for anyone who doesnt' have an edu discount and needs an imac or a few other things.

ONLY AT THE US STORES APPARENTLY. ...

Thanksgiving is a US holiday, from legislation enacted in 1865. The US has only 9 national holidays; most other countries have more.

I also was surprised by the lack of portables. The Airport Express is a pretty good deal if you need one. I renewed my .mac.
