Still no Rosetta?

Let's let go of it. It was cool when it was actually necessary. Like 5 years ago.

Rosetta is done. Gone. You will never see it.

Build number is now 11A494A.

New logon windows looks sweet, too. Hopefully, Mail won't crash that often in this new updated Lion.

If that's the ONLY thing that they fixed I'd be happy. Mail 5.0 is too beautiful and useful to crash all the time.

mission control seems to me smoother, it opens and closes so fast i cant even look lol (same with launchpad)

I'm so mixed on this.

Part of me admires Windows backwards compatibility; you can still launch windows app from the mid-90s on Windows 7 and they mostly work fine. That's kinda neat.

The other part thinks it's a good idea to let go of the old so it doesn't become a huge pile of bloat.

We've had five years now to find new tools to replace our old PowerPC only apps. Move on, people. I stopped running Power PC apps almost as soon as the intel switch happened, simply because they always felt slower no matter how simple they were!

great new bug already: mission control is being covered up by random windows and i cant chose anything

Here's a pic of the new login screen which was shown during the keynote in Lion.

Very quick update 656MB took about a minute to download and about 10 to finish installing.

It seems to have reset Launchpad again.

And the MobileMe preference pane will no longer open.

EDIT: It also uninstalled iCloud.

Yeah, my launchpad has also been reset.

Isn't that Mission Control bug caused by a graphics card memory corruption bug that's around since Snow Leopard? The bug mostly shows up when switching from full screen to windowed or vise versa. I don't have Lion here so I can't test it myself, but the bug might be in the graphics card driver as not everybody seems to be affected by it. I'm using an early '08 2.4 GHz MBP here with nVidia 8600m GT.
