Looking to get 1Password for the Mac. I see it was in a bundle last year. Before I pay full price, is anyone aware of any discounts/bundles that include this software?
Thanks!

I tested out 1password and honestly didn't like it. I opted for LastPass instead which I find much easier to use (and cheaper!).
Both programs offer free trials. I suggest taking advantage of them.
Honestly, I would just buy it on the MAS, because the devs said it would be a free upgrade there to 1Password 4, so that would probably beat any discount you might get. Plus, I love buying apps in the MAS
How safe/secure is 1password?
I've never used it but I've heard good things about it.
Steve Gibson (Security Now podcast) did a recent review of the security of a bunch of password apps and didn't even mention 1Password. When Leo Laporte probed him about it he said 1Password was very secure. It uses all the right security measures to be as crack resident as possible currentlyHow safe/secure is 1password?

One thing to keep in mind is that the MAS store version does not have the same functionality as the version downloaded directly from AgileBits (although most users probably wouldn't notice the difference) http://support.agilebits.com/kb/1pa...ts-the-difference-between-1password-39-and-38

Great, thanks. I'll check out those links. Security is obviously ultra-important when it comes to a product like this. For security information, you can read all about the Mac app security here:
http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/agile_keychain_design.html
and more specifically how we work with regard to Dropbox syncing and security:

It's very secure as it is now, but we're going to be making some major changes in 1Password 4 that makes it even more secure.

Concerning the discount: if you DO come across any, I'm only a PM away!
... I suggest signing up for the newsletter...

1Password has a trial? Not from the Mac App Store I would guess.. That's what really gets to me about the app store.. No trial period!
I'll look for the developer's site and see if I can get the trial period, as I was curious to try this app. Thanks for the info.
Are custom fields still not available for wallet items? This is a pretty big oversight compared to competitors like splashid who do have custom fields. It's the main reason I don't use 1password.
Sure is. Now $39.99 this week for WWDC. Thanks for the heads up.We hear you loud and clear. This is something we would like to see as well. We cannot promise anything but I do want to make sure you know that your voice has been heard on this. Hopefully you will see some variation of this in the future. Note that this requires some pretty major rewriting of a lot of 1Password and its data file.
Also, this just in.
1Password for Mac and 1Password Pro (the iOS iPhone/iPad version) is on sale 20% off until June 16th 2012.
I just checked the Mac App Store (US Store) and can verify that it is indeed on sale there already too.
For those of you holding out hope for a sale, now is a good time to consider. As always, let me know if you have questions. I'll be happy to help.
While most of my logins and passwords are for web sites, not all of them are, so I am looking for a password manager that can handle everything.
Does anyone know if 1Password works with applications*, like Skype or Tweetdeck? I am using LastPass and they have this feature in beta form but only for Windows...
* Seamlessly, not a klutzy copy and paste hack
To be honest, there is no contest, 1password is the best password App out there, not just for the features of the App itself, but the high level of excellent support that Agilebits gives, as demonstrated by Kyle.
