I bought the Black and slate 32gb. I know in the past when I have owned a 16 gb Ipad, I had to be very conservative with my space, and I didn't like doing that much.

I usually always buy the 64gb versions but this time bought the 32 black/slate as well. Main reason being that this is the first time I'm expecting to upgrade at the next update so can't justify spending more than AU$700.

Usually it's music that takes up most of my space but I always have my 64gb iPhone 5 with me and I'll just use iTunes Match on my mini if I need it.

I picked up a 16 GB and I see what you've saying about being conservative. Though I'm not extremely concerned because I have a 64 GB iPhone so I can store most of my stuff on there.

I got the 32. I had an iPod touch with low storage and I filled it up so fast that I had to delete an app every time I wanted to add a new one. It strongly negatively impacted my enjoyment of my device. I've been waiting so long for this mini I didn't want anything to ruin that for me.

I got a 32 gb LTE. 16 is juuuust a little too small. But I didn't wanna go with my normal 64gb size because I know I'm gonna be selling this next year when the retina version is available, and the additional storage doesn't bring that much resale. Plus, I have an LTE 3 with 64gb. :)

+1 some thing happened to me, my 16 gig iPad 1 was always filled so I got the 32 gig mini.

The base Mini is what I'll be targeting. Spent a good chunk of money on a release day 64GB Playbook, loved the form factor but definitely over spent on storage I didn't really need. The base iPad 3 I've been using has served me fine, as I rarely need to store much media on there unless I'm on a long trip overseas.

32 GB. I've purchased the 32 version since the iPad 2 and it has always worked for me. Since I mainly use iTunes Match and Netflix, space isn't something I need a lot of.

You people need to seriously learn to keep most of your stuff in the cloud and pluck it out when you need it.

I keep all my media on a Synology NAS drive, it's safer than the cloud. I've owned three iPads and always go with the 16GB ones. I can offline music from the NAS with the Synology audio app. For my iPhones I tend to go for the 32GB as its dimension means it's a better Walkman-like device than an iPad, I'm more likely to want to access music away from home on the iPhone.

Me too, but I stream it off the internet with Pandora.

32 gb... I went 16 on my iPad 3 and still have over half the space left but I will likely hold onto the mini longer.

16gb. Mostly using it for reading, note taking, organization, and a few game apps. Put some music on there to listen to while reading but no video, which is the gb eater. I'll just stream any videos I want to watch.

64 esp. for music space. Replacing my iPhone where I keep music, getting rid of the 4s before it's too outdated. Cell service providers in Canada cost an arm and a leg every single month. And I've an anti-social streak, not really caring to be plugged in all of the time. So Mini seems the perfect solution. It'll also be so much easier to use for everything else I did on the phone. 64 GB is bargain for me.

32GB. I've bought the base model for every other iDevice that I've ever bought, but after running out of space on my 16GB iPhone 4S I decided to splurge.

16GB, but I'm already down to 7 gigs. I waging that Apple will bring out version 2 of the mini by next Spring, so I'll wait til then for the 32 gig retina.
