Mixed impressions so far... I'm finding a lot of stuff that I knew has been moved to different places... however I'm not too averse to change especially if it means progression.
One query: How on earth do you make it so that the lines in the now playing are in time with the music? That is one feature I used extensively and am missing it at the moment.

Makes sense. They wake up, they go to work, everyone looks at each other and says, "Are we ready to go live?" People say yes. They go live. Then they have all day to trouble shoot issues and hopefully don't have to pull an all-nighter for for a crisis.
Album view is pretty clever in determining dominant colors. Lets assume you have music acquired from somewhere other than the iTunes music store. It creates a theme based on the album art.

I'd ask everyone to "Provide iTunes Feedback" about how they made "Search" quite useless, and the fact that the "Feedback" page hasn't been updated for 11.0 yet.

By the way, Facebook was broken on my Mountain Lion partition and Apple is still researching the damn issue... That's one less bug to worry about on iTunes, let's not make it bloat further...
Up Next does not work 'the right way' when browsing Songs with the Column Browser. Songs added to your Up Next Queue get removed as soon as you browse elsewhere in your collection. This is very annoying already...it could have been a great feature, one that I was really looking forward to, but it only works correctly when browsing your music in Genre or Album or Artist views, none of which I like.
If anyone knows a way to get around this limitation, please post!

theres only the option "sort by"edit: u can only change it for "artist" view etc but not "album view"
and u cant change the size of tv show and movies covers at all, such a pity
After playing around with some AirPlay settings and windows etc....the AirPlay icon now appears in the upper left of the main window just to the right of the master volume control.
Strange but glad to see it, I was hoping I wouldn't have to go to the mini player every time I wanted to change the playback settings.

The guys at Apple need to talk to each other with these apps. It drives me crazy! Even the Apple TV app doesn't show whats on my phone but iPad and iPhone talk to each other. What gives!!!

Haha, when the upgrade was complete the iTunes icon stayed the same, then when I clicked on it it took a wee while to flick over to the new one

I liked coverflow, a full-screen version of it could have been awesome if they implemented it better; the old mish-mash of a list with coverflow on top was crap, if they'd instead let you coverflow through albums then quickly drill down into that album then it could have been great. Instead they've dropped it? I'm disappointed by that.
Otherwise it seems like a pretty good new update, my only issue is that I can't find the old iTunes DJ option for playing higher-rated songs more often, has that disappeared or am I just lost?
Oh, and does the maximise button work for anyone else? On both the mini-player and normal player it does nothing, where really I would expect it to jump from the mini-play to the full player, or on the full player to maximise it to fill more of the screen. Actually the mini-player one seems to work intermittently, sometimes opening the large player while leaving the mini one open; weird.
