Yes. Though I'm still not 100% convinced Apple will go asymmetrical with the bezels. And I'd still love to know how the antennas work. Unless the back is liquidmetal and not aluminum?
That would be very impressive. Sapphire AND liquidmetal?

Oh wow! Missed that! However, isn't that way too thin of a device to house the LTE radio?
Not sure, but I suppose we'll have to wait and see.

Embarrassing statement. Please give us your thoughts on what it could look like assuming there were no technological barriers. There is no drastic design changes to something that has a display and is used as a phone, it can only become so thin, so light, and so bezeless. Are people serious when they say that?

It could get rid of the fingerprint scanner and have more of the screen covered with glass. The actual scanner can be detected through the glass. No buttons, just glass. Only leaving room at the top and bottom for microphones and speakers. And the entire body should be made of aluminum assuming it isn't already. That would be more of a step up.

Does anyone have an actual reference for liquidmetal being radio transparent? By "actual" I mean an interview or paper by someone who actually knows rather than just some anonymous comment or rumor.

I have my doubts, and I think this has become something that "everyone knows" without anyone actually knowing.

liquidmetal is an amorphous metal. It is still a metal, so it is NOT EM transparent. That means you still need a cutout for your radio.

it's a render.. no one ever made so many photos of a prototype shell, and a fully assembled device.. it's too early for that. Asymmetrical bezels are not very Apple style (fortunately), and there are no windows for cellular signal.

1. If someone has access to these shells, what's the difference between taking 1 or 10 photos? Some believe in a June release. This is just 4 months away. They sell tens of millions, they're going to have to start mass production VERY SOON.

2. Since we now have TouchID, Apple can't make the bottom bezel smaller. However, they CAN make the top smaller and it makes to make the screen larger instead wasting space with a bezel. Just because it's not currently the case doesn't mean it won't be in the future.

3. People are speculating that this might be liquid metal, which some argue will allow for cellular connectivity without a "window"

The flurry of design and parts leaks in the last couple weeks seems unusually early especially for a September or October release. This much attention in the past few years with the Fall releases has been typical of summer months. I think it indicates how much the public really wants a larger screen iPhone.

But rumors have it the Apple TV will be announced some six months before availability for the Christmas season. I sure hope Apple doesn't dangle this as a finished but unavailable device for THAT length of time. I don't think I could stand the wait!

There's a major hole in Apple's iPhone competitiveness in today's smartphone market - screen size. Another "maybe" might be Apple pulling the trigger on an earlier release to immediately satisfy the pent up demand for a larger screen - the iPhone's significant drawback. I have a new 5S but would spring for a larger screen iPhone as soon as it's available. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

No screws

There are no screws to be seen on any of the pictures, I really hope this does not mean that all parts are glued together and it's therefore even harder to repair an iPhone yourself or put in a new battery.
But besides that, this leak looks exactly what I expected (well I didn't expect that it's THAT crazy thin), really like it and will buy it for sure. :)

I say those are real

Almost every time we photos like this, most all of them are real.
The top of the bezel looks almost Samsung like. I think a lot of people are going to be real happy if those come out. I wonder however if they will repeat the gold, silver and space gray color schemes. One would think so.

I suspect Apple will see a rush on those like they haven't seen since the iPhone came out. Be ready to order early!

oh hello samsung galaxy s4. nice to see you with an apple logo and an aluminium back..

seriously since when did apple make anything that looks almost exactly like its competitors' design?

im not questioning the legitimacy of the images, just questioning the look of this thing

My Mock Up

Taking the dimensions from the photos and things, here is my mockup in size, to scale, next to an iPhone 5s

Screen came out to 5.5" diagonally

Whilst it looks great (mockup or not) I really hope when Tim said "new product category" recently, I sure hope he meant more than a bigger screened iPhone. Hopefully this is not the highlight of the year!

Zero chance of an asymmetrical bezel

Zero chance of an asymmetrical bezel at top vs bottom. In landscape mode, that would make the phone unbalanced both visually and holding-wise (especially while playing games or watching a movie).

Apple likes balance.

Zero chance, folks.

People said zero chance about the 4" iPhone, and look what happened. People said zero chance the iOS 7 mockups with those bad safari icons are real, and look what happened! You know as much as anyone else.

it looks just ok. and a little bit boring. with no surprise and creativity.

Apple would NEVER have those lines in the band!

looks fake to me. the image looks too 'stunning' like a rendering tech demo. shows off diffuse lighting , great normal maps..great depth of field effects...

Well, Apple is conservative once they get a design that serves the functionality beautifully. Just looks at the iMac. They thinned down a machine that doesn't need to be thin but it looked fantastic as always.

Innovation is another argument.

I think with Touch ID, improved camera, new rounded back monotone design with a large bezel-less retina display and software optimizations that take advantage of a slightly larger screen... there you go, a great upgrade from an iPhone 5/c/4/s below and many Android phones.

May not be a complete change but hey, any upgrade that improves what I already got and gives me more to see.. I'm down.

Yawn... it's still a little boring with iOS. I don't understand why Apple doesn't let you at least customize the icons (move them around the screen or have the ability to hide them all), or anything else on the phone. I think that's one of the reasons where Apple fails. It needs to listen to customers. Sure, users want a simple UI, but at least give advanced users the ability to customize their phones... I believe that's why Android will always win marketshare, and inevitably Apple will fall back to what it was in the Microsoft vs. Apple days. Apple having very little marketshare and ultimately failing as a company. The only reason it became successful after Steve Jobs came back was that it created new markets... but that's only going to last so long. Ultimately, people want to see huge progress in the markets that it creates... like the progress that Android has made over the years. If you look at the progression of Android, it has outpaced iOS... it will continue to do so because Apple likes its walled garden. That's unfortunate. Apple really should look into opening up its operating system. Have an OSX version and one that can work on other machines. Same with iOS... better yet, have iOS work on Apple hardware (Mac and iPhones), and have iOS versions to work on other machines... then it could dominate all PC and phone markets. Also, its Office Suite needs to be better than Microsofts because people want to work on their machines too.

Interestingly the 2 screws ubiquitous with the last few iphones are missing from the bottom edge of the casing (to remove the display). Possibly means a whole unit swop for cracked units or a complete redesign of the device and service options. Or its an iPod Touch?

If it can be assembled, it can be disassembled. :)
