OP, I'd prefer the Mail.app error messages to be banners.

I can't believe they're still popups. One ride on the NYC subway, and you have 15 popups to deal with every time....

I had to do one more :p

Oh god yes. Problem is not enough Apple iOS coders ride the MTA I guess :( haha

Not a huge issue but ios8 beta 1 removes the ability to reply to threads on facebook with photos - both on the app version and the safari version.

I am sure a future FB update will fix this. Beware if you are hardcore social networker though ;)

I saw on the keynote, while demonstrating 'quick reply', the option to 'raise to dial' or it might have been 'raise to call'.

Can anybody verify this?

Would be a handy feature.

i installed on my 4s, its a bit laggy and unresponsive sometimes but it is to be expected with a beta. multitasking a bit laggy too. i did an upgrade, wonder if a clean install.

one thing i don't understand, what does time lapse video do? im clueless.

also if i try to use family sharing on two accounts from different region, would it work? i hope it does, no need to switch between my us account and other account then, hope it works

Mine doesn't. I'm trying to view "The Swift Programming Langauge" and I get the cloud arrow icon repeatedly. Not showing in my books. Well now says downloaded but still isn't in my books.

My iBooks app works. Took a few more seconds than normal to load up the store and the purchased tab. But I've downloaded 2 books I own and both read fine. "Auto-Night Theme" doesn't seem to work though yet.

I can see that now i was certain that the animation was different, but I have just checked on my non-development iPhone on iOS 7, and it's the same.

You said Mission Control in your first post, now you're talking about Control Center. Which one hasn't changed?

OK I am confused now but was "Manual Exposure" control part of the Camera app before ?!?

If I tap to focus, I get a small brightness star next to the focus box which I can slide up and down to control exposure

Fixed that for you.

I'm just pointing it out, in iOS 7 double pressing home opened multitasking immediately with a slower smoother animation. In iOS 8 beta 1 it has a delay just like pressing home to exit an app, but also a notably snappier animation, side by side iOS 7 opens multitasking first, once you're in multitasking it is faster in iOS 8. I doubt they are going to change it, it seems like an accessibility change for the triple press feature. This is not a beta glitch.

Either way please don't get defensive it was just an observation. :)

Has anybody installed iOS 8 b1 using I.m.z.d.l?
And does anybody recommend downloading and using it now or wait for the next beta release?

Don't like that iBooks is now part of the OS. Was hoping they would decouple all the built-in apps from the OS so they could be updated etc without having to wait for a new OS release

For the people who don't restart their phones very often...

"Touch ID requires your passcode ager 48 hours"

Just got that message. I was already annoyed about having to type it in every time I restart! I wish the passcode could be made optional when using Touch ID.

That's not new to iOS8 though... I have that on my 5s with iOS7 as well. Just sayin ;)

Can anybody verify, if there is an option to disable vibration in alarm clock, while it is still enabled for normal calls?
Or maybe there is an option to disable vibration while phone has connected charger?

Found a way to bypass the lock screen in iOS 8 Beta 1:

Ask Siri what song is playing.
Once it tells you what song is playing, click on the Shazam logo.
This opens Shazam, where you can then simply press the home button, which takes you to the home screen.
