Hi,

I want to upgrade my Macbook Pro 13" Mid 2010 memory from 4Gb to 8Gb.I have to chose between Kingston with Hynix chips and Crucial with Micron chips. What would you suggest?

Thank you.

Between those two, I'd opt for Crucial (which is micron's consumer memory division).

I'd also consider, corsair and ocz as well.

Thanks for recommendations, but the price forces me to pick one of the two options mentioned above.

Be sure to buy from vendor who has unconditional guarantee. Hynix would not work in my 2008/9 5,1 MBP and macsales, OWC, was very good about swapping memory to find the right match. In my case, I wound up with Micron.

I forgot about OWC, I buy from them a lot and never had a problem. Definitely check out macsales.com

I bought from Crucial but they were Hynix chips and i've had no issues with them.
