And there are countless threads already on the forum about this topic, which the poster could find if they took a few minutes to search.
No one knows except the people in Apple and they are not going to tell you on a public forum. It's pretty unlikely there will be an update until SandyBridge is available in quantity sometime in the spring of 2011.

there will be "silent" updates as hardware progresses...there already was one, they added a faster processor option.
I expect you'll see bumps to processor speed, and perhaps thing like SSD and HD size options (more likely SSD than HD) and graphics card memory bumps, although those are less likely.
Then, when SandyBridge is out, there will be a larger update (if we're lucky)
