I upgraded my MBP 15 (early 2009) to Intel G2 SSD 80GB few months ago. Love the improvement but I am wondering if my drive is slowing down. Here's my Xbench from last night. This seems a lot slower especially on the Random read/write cycles. It is much slower than other benchmarks posted here. Any opinions? Should I carbon-copy to external hard drive and re-zero the SSD and start over?

People are getting too wrapped up in numbers, be they from coconut (for battery metrics) or xbench.

If the machine is running as it should, lets not worry about the minutia
 
I just did an ATA Secure Erase using a Ubuntu 10.10 LiveCD and that restored my Intel (actually it runs faster than the first install).

I wouldn't zero out your drive, JMO.
 
I did the ATA Secure erase, and worked great.

Like others, I looked at the Xbench numbers after a year of usage, and it was around 220-240 ....

After the secure erase, it's back to 280-290s.

However, that's not important at all, the most important thing if it feels slower. In reality, it wasn't any slower than before, and after the secure erase it felt almost the same.
 
Well, I haven't really done anything until last post. The computer has lost some of its "snappiness" that I had when I just installed the SSD. Here's the xbench from today. Seems like a big decay in performance in two months. I do download and subsequently trash lots of video files. I think the Mac OS is definitely in need of TRIM function.
