Anyone make a CLEAR glass back for iPhone4?

I have no interest in a white or carbon fiber or aluminum/stainless steel back, but I thought a clear glass back (with Apple logos) might be kinda cool.

Think you'll need to file this under the "would be nice to have category" for now. I see a lot of the sellers on eBay offering colored backplates so, maybe, clear ones aren't too far off in the distant future. As for now though, haven't seen any clear ones on the market. If there were, I'd probably bite and get one myself.
 
THe problem is all you would see is metal shielding and the plastic frame that holds teh glass on so it would not be near as cool as it seems.

Maybe, but still a good idea worth trying, I don't think the frame and parts inside look like a mess, It might be kinda cool like a fancy see through watch or something like that!
 
i think your idea is cool, but theres really not much to see which would be cool.. mostly blackness and a battery
 
I'm sure you have all seen by now the DIY mod a guy did, he said he used paint thinners to remove the black paint from within side the back glass, but upon investigation myself, i read about a guy trying this method himself, but to no avail.
 
I think Jack Backs (the company that makes the custom wooden backs) is working on making clear kits right now. I'm not sure if they are out yet though.

I think this is one of those things that are cool in theory but probably not very in practice :p

yeah, i agree. i haven't seen any clear glass back case on the market. maybe it will be cool with a glass case on the back of i4.

The flash does not work like it would when it's just the regular OEM back glass. Besides, using a flash on a phone really isn't that important...maybe for me at least. I can live without it for the style :D

I have seen them, but then again, when you see them up close, you will notice how cheesy / cheap it looks. The real mccoy looks amazing in person, especially in the dark, with the light glaring out the back side....

Also, I've done some research and ebay would take about $5-6 total from each sale, so I'm going to try and sell via craigslist or online forums. Of course, I can do ebay as well if anyone wants more 'security', but I hear that sellers get scammed quite often with ebay. Would be unfortunate if it happened. So trying to cover all my end.

eBay is the only way to go. You're not going to get scammed..
