Hello All,

I love 10.6 on my MBP and have no plans for updating to Lion.

But one thing that I have noticed is that many programs are being updated for Lion, but further development seems to have stopped for SL.

I used to use Maintenance, and I checked Onyx - both seem to have 10.6 versions that are not advancing. Also, I use MagicPrefs and a couple of other utility programs that are stuck.

What do you guys think?

Thanks,
R

I would say that developers are looking to the future as apple is.

This might be a case of the development platform being Lion only as well. I haven't developed anything in OSX in ages so I can't be totally sure about this.

Developers will mostly jump on the new OS bandwagon because OS X users (unlike Windows counterparts) tend to upgrade to the new OS fairly quickly. $30 is not really a hard sell...compared to $$$. And you often don't need new hardware either.

Doesn't help matters that Apple also adopts this approach. For example iCloud and iBook Author are Lion only.
