iCloud doesn't work :(

so I have lion 10.7.2 and I want to use the online icloud site to sync/store my word documents and it doesnt do it. why cant i upload word documents??
 
You need to use an apple product, like pages to save to icloud
 
i thought u can do microsoft word.. so basically icloud will only work with pages? thats so useless if u dont have pages -_-
 
Pretty sure Microsoft offer their own cloud sync service called Live Skydrive (???), doesn't it use that? /wasn't that the point of Office 365?
 
Dropbox wil store and sync Word docs as well as any type of file. You need iCloud enabled apps so far, and I would bet Microsoft is not planning on do that . . . That said, I have heard rumors of Office for iPad but i would not hold my breath.
