Apple Superdrive air

I have a macbook Air and am in need of a portable Superdrive, but currently it doesn't have blue-ray capabilities. Does anyone think it will be updated soon, and if so have blue-ray, by research I believe it was updated Fall of last year. Thanks
 
Apple does not and will not support bluray so if you're holding out for that support, then I'd just go and buy the optical drive.

They're more interested in streaming content then allowing you to use the optical drive to view HD content.
