Either way you're spending a lot of money. I don't see why you'd want to spend 1700 on older technology when for nearly the same get get a faster CPU, better GPU

you know what, if youre going to stay with the stock resolution(1440x900) it should suffice for the most part.
higher resolution might be a different story since vram comes into play but it isn't like you'd be able to max everything out with butter smooth fps in either one of them.

650m is around tier 1 while 6770m is an entry tier 2

It is quite a bummer they didn't make 1g a stock and made the upgrade 1.5/2gb.
