When I first heard rumors of a 5.5 inch iPhone 6 I thought it was unlikely because I didn't think apple would risk cannibalizing iPad sales. At this point I'm inclined to believe it probably does exist since Apple hasn't "leaked" information to the contrary. What do you think, will we see a 5.5 inch iPhone this year?
 
At this point, it's more or less a certainty that it exists in some form. The only real question is whether it moved beyond the prototype stage, and whether it will be entering into production this year, sometime during the next year, or not at all.

Anyone betting on "not at all" is probably going to lose. Anyone betting that it never existed in the first place, has lost already.
 
The current tally looks like it's 21 to 1080p. There's got to be more than one 5.5" denier left out there :)

I'd say so, there's just too many "leaks" coming out that support a larger iPhone.

We only have to wait a few weeks at this point
 
I'm confident it exists but when it releases is another question.. if it releases in September, I'm buying 5.5" but if it's months delayed I'm going 4.7" until the 6S.
 
5.5 inch iphone is definitely in the testing stage. I highly doubt it will be released in 2014 as some people think.

Look at this article dated January 2013 (well before iphone 5S was released) and only 4 months after the iphone 5 was released.

There were "rumors" of a 4.8 inch iphone testing as of January 2013.

So we all know the 4.8 inch iphone was never released in 2013. The 4.7 inch (which was result of the 4.8 inch rumor) is going to be finally released in 2014.

Apple is always testin. But from the time of the 'leaks" to the actual product is close to 18 months.
 
Only Apple knows the answer of this question, but according to me 5.5" iPhone 6 is exist but apple may not be release it in september, i think we will see iPhone 6 5.5" in 2015
 
I'm also in the camp that believes a 5.5" iPhone exists in some form at Apple HQ, but I don't expect it to be announced at the rumoured event 9 September.
 
At first I thought there must still remain a 4" option. Contrary to the nay-sayers - apple is THE phone to have for one handed use. If this were not true the other guys would not try to make 'mini' phones all the time.

If there is only going to be 4.7" and 5.5", with no 4.0" option, then Apple would need to make the 4.7" extremely light and extremely thin to help make sure people can reach the top and bottom edges for notification center and control center, and general menus etc.
