Clarification: Release notes explicitly state:

No OTA for the GM. You must download it.
"You must use iTunes 10.5 beta 7 to install iOS 5 GM seed on your devices"

Maybe that's just the minimum requirement? It wouldn't make sense for beta 7 to work but not beta 9..

From what I've read you need beta 7, so I'll just be playing it safe and use that.

That must suck for users that already have beta 9, the will need to downgrade I'm assuming.

It wasn't to difficult. Just ran the beta 7 installer. I'll just upgrade it back up to beta 9 after I install the iOS 5 GM on my iPod.

It didn't take long for the GM to leak on the net. Just got it via twitter.

I got the iPhone 4 GSM GM file by just searching on the filename in the twitter search.

I know the requirements, but as the links are now live, just gonna see if I can do it with 10.4 anyway..

As am I. Not sure why people would even think this wouldn't work.

Completed the install fine with beta 9. Beta 7 would obviously be the minimum requirement.

10.7.2 GM is up too.

Beta 9 should work. They call out beta 7 since that's the highest version that everyone has(windows stops at 7. Mac goes up to 9).

UDID Registration required for this GM release or not?

As a non-developer and considering this is the final build and I'm going from 4.2.10, I should be fine doing an option (at least I think it's option, I always forget) + restore, right?

7 betas and now the GM and airplay sharing of TV shows to the iPad is still broken for me - it worked perfectly under iOS 4, but with iOS 5 GM it's a complete mess with series split up, repeated, out of sequence and just plain wrong.
Hopefully it's caused by the beta status of iTunes but it does exactly the same when connecting to a non-beta earlier version of iTunes so I'm not holding my breath...

Wifi sync has always had issues for me. Hopefully it's fixed now in GM.

I downgraded to the beta and it installed in Czech. Doesn't do me any favors. Any advice?

They haven't fixed it??? What a disappointment, I have the same problem, I don't think is an iTunes problem because my apple tv2 shows everything as it should

I have had issues myself. I keep my devices synced to the windows side of my system. It seems like every time I sync my devices I have to re-check the box that says "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi" and after I disconnect my device if I let it go to sleep for very long or leave the house iTunes seems to lose it.

No idea if this is an iTunes issue or the device that seems to lose the "handshake" for Wi-fi sync. hope its fixed. I sync all the time for podcasts.

if Apple would just come up with some other clever solution for podcasts I could shut down my desktop 90% of the time. Between the iPhone and iPad I rarely use it.

No still empty. Also I'm confused by this tabbed browsing that Safari is now supposed to have. Never seen such a thing since beta 1 and not seeing it now on GM.

is dictation a 4s exclusive? Ive got a feeling it is
