"Live everyday like it's your last"

Steve's unforgettable speech at Stanford is exactly the kind of ehtos I have for my life. Steve obviously lived and worked his dream right up till the end and we all (macheads, visionaries, business leaders, etc) should honor him for that during the lives we live. As I type this message on my MBA and hopefully in 10 years some other form of revolutionary Apple device... I can only look ahead and hope that a little bit of Steve's vision is a part of my life for many years to come. We will miss your vision Steve....

R.I.P. Steve

I don't know you personally, but I'm in tears :(

Thank you for everything you've done.

STEVE JOBS AT HOME IN 1982

“This was a very typical time.

I was single.

All you needed was a cup of tea, a light, and your stereo, you know, and that’s what I had.”

- Steve Jobs

A day we can never forget. Very sad to see Steve Jobs go.

I had a bad feeling about this when I noticed during the keynote yesterday the camera man briefly had the camera on the empty "reserved" seat a couple times. That may have been for Steve Jobs.

They should make a special edition iPhone 4S to commemorate Steve Jobs life! :apple:
This is what I was thinking. Perhaps an "SJ" on the back of the iPhone 4S?

Sad but Grateful

From the Apple IIe I purchased in the early 1980's (I still have it) to the MBP I purchased early this year, I have been a die hard Apple guy. I think I have owned over 25 Apple/Mac computers over the years. I am saddened at the passing of Steve and the loss of his ongoing creativity and zest for never letting the limits be limits. I am also grateful that I had a chance to live through the first 30+ years of one of the greatest companies the world have ever seen. My hope is that Apple will continue to challenge us to think beyond our dreams and embrace possibilities that are only in our fantasies. Thank you Steve for your contribution to making the world a better place!
Dr. Dave

He influenced how we connect, shop, write, listen, talk, share, learn, play, watch, and most importantly create! What a insane contribution to our lives this man had.

Like a comet
Blazing 'cross the evening sky
Gone too soon

Like a rainbow
Fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon

Shiny and sparkly
And splendidly bright
Here one day
Gone one night

Like the loss of sunlight
On a cloudy afternoon
Gone too soon

Like a castle
Built upon a sandy beach
Gone too soon

Like a perfect flower
That is just beyond your reach
Gone too soon

Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day
Gone one night

Like a sunset
Dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon
Gone too soon

The only other person that this song seemed befitting for, was MJ himself . . God bless Steve's family.

:(:(:(:(

No words for this loss... Not only was Steve a hero to those in the Apple-verse, as well as those in the animation world with Pixar, but his heroic struggle with pancreatic cancer made him a hero to those of us with family in a similar situation. His memory will live on forever. Warp speed, Mr. Jobs...

Loss

I haven't posted a comment on macrumors in quite some time but today I feel I need to say this. Steve Jobs was a once in a generation person. We will talk about him for years. He was loved by many and also the CEO of the largest corporation in the world. It is doubtful that anyone will ever be able to achieve both of these feats at the same time again.

I have never been this sad about someones death, who I did not know personally.

Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.

Rest in peace Mr. Jobs

1955-2011

Sad day for the tech industry and the whole world as a whole in general. Only 56 years old, hard to believe. The world lost one of its most inspiring individuals today. RIP Steve Jobs, you'll truly be missed!

RIP. He created the platform I am working for and grateful for. A great loss of the world.
