Hey,
My macbook air (mid 2011) keyboard is not working. Certain keys (O,y,i,) are not working. The mac has never been dropped and there is not water damage.
How do i fix this?

The down arrow key on my 2011 MBA 11'' refurb is soft and doesn't always work... and for the 11'' scrolling down is big deal.

Please post what Apple does to fix it. Thanks.

I had that on my wired keyboard with the X key. There's an X in the name of my company, so it's a big deal too! I took it in, they popped the keycap off, pulled out the little piece that makes contact and replaced it. It's not wired or soldered. Took 30 seconds.

I'm guessing they'd likely do it free of charge even if out of warranty.

Sorry for the long response time, between my dog dyeing and all the work I have had to do recently I have had very little free time!
Anyway I have Genius Bar Appointment on Sunday.
