well this explains a lot i have seen tomtom cars simliar to those used by google a while back so they are following the same path as google this could mean we get apple view or what ever they will call there version of streetview
 
Tom Tom is great for navigation and I just hope they wont charge for traffic data.
I doubt they will charge for traffic because iPhone users are providing the data at no cost to Apple, apart from the servers collecting it. It is in Location Services and sends position data to Apple using the owner's data plan, although you can turn it off. Maybe though they will only let you use traffic if you also have the sending of traffic data set to on. That would be fair.
 
That seems to be a nice deal, I wonder what Google will do in response to this deal, they will just bring the Google maps into the battle!
