So many sour Apples on this forum. Galaxy Nexus / Jelly Bean is such a major leap forward compared to iOS6.

I don't think this harmed Apple since Android users would just buy a different high-end phone, but I'd like Samsung to lose here not at Apple's gain. I hate copycats.

Of all the bloatware-loaded Samsung (and other vendors) phones, Nexus provides 'pure' Android experience, which according to many is the best experience. The phone comes with 'just right' mid-level specs (for example, HSPA+ rather than LTE, but still fast) and is as universal as it gets (it works seemlessly with AT&T and T-Mobile). and a KILLER price of $350 unlocked, free on contract. Why did it not sell?

I think Samsung themsleves did it out of some sort of a previous deal or obligation, they wanted it to fail.
The battery life SUCKS!
I would have gotten one if it weren't for this. Instead I got an S2 even though its an older model

Yup here is the link from VZW, it was never removed from their site following the courts ruling, which is why I was confused.

I'm sure it's because within days, the software was patched to bypass the patent in question.

The presence of this whole issue is all that matters....

Kind of like illegally recording a criminal act by a business but they can't be charged for it......

Competition is great, no matter how much I loathe Samsung. Good news.

Zero advertisement. They only advertise the nexus through verizon on tv

Android may be poopy compared to iOS, but Apple needs to loosen the App Store restrictions! They're completely ridiculous! You can send messages but cannot receive them... WTF.

Yup...You want to keep the competition....Otherwise there is no reason to improve in an attempt to provide something better than everyone else.

Competition is great. My money is going on Samsung for my next phone. 4 years on iOS has been disappointing to say the least.
We'll miss you.

That is a novel argument: "Our product sucks so much that nobody is buying them." Another Google TV or HP tablet, apparently.

I do think a lot of Macrumors for my Apple related news (easily one of the best Apple news sites with a great community) but this article is so bad it seems AppleInsider worthy.

It's great you believe that, but why don't you do your declaration at other forums where people cares.

good, this injunction was dumb (especially because a workaround came out days after)

I agree with you 100% Jelly Bean is a major leap forward compared to iOS6. That's because Ice Cream Sandwich sucked so bad there was nowhere to go but up. In contrast, iOS5 to iOS6 is a smaller leap because Apple is already making superior operating systems, regardless of whether individuals "like" them. In fairness, Jelly Bean is actually the first version of the Android OS that made me say "wow". Stating that it's a major leap though is a moot point when comparing apples (no pun intended) to apples.

Or you go with the what Apple claims is being infringed appond does not effect the sales in any real way. Aka people are not choosing the nexus over the iPhone over said patent
