Subtitles for movies in the library without re-ripping
Hi all,
I was wondering if it would be possible to use a subs file (.srt) along with the .mp4 at the iTunes library and have it streamed to Apple TV without the need to embed the subs (with handbrake, etc). Tks |

One alternate way would be to use Plex and AirPlay. It would stream the media file and transcode in the subtitle on the fly.

Sure, just use Subler to append the .srt to the .mp4 file (you probably want to rename the .mp4 file to an .m4v file first). This assumes you already have the appropriate .srt file on hand.
