BusinessInsider relays a report from analyst Gene Munster. Munster has been one of the most vocal proponents of an Apple television set with multiple claims that Apple is indeed working on such a device.

apple_tv_2012_interface-500x308.jpg
In the latest report, Munster pushes back his own predictions for the delivery of an Apple television set to November 2013. This comes shortly after flip flopping claims that the Apple television is not launching imminently.

Business Insider outlines Munster's other predictions for Apple releases in 2013.
- March 2013: iPad Mini with Retina display, update the little Apple TV box, allowing to do accept apps from developers, and some sort of iTunes radio product.
- June 2013: WWDC brings us previews of iOS 7, and OSX, as well as MacBook Airs with Retina displays. Look for Jony Ive's influence over iOS to start showing up here.
- September 2013: iPhone 5S, a "modest upgrade" from the iPhone 5. The iPad Mini gets a specs bump, and we get a new iPad, which is totally redesigned to look more like the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.
- November 2013: An Apple TV comes out. It should cost $1,500-$2,000 and come in sizes from 42-inches to 55-inches
We see these predictions as simply educated guessing on Munster's part, and don't place much faith into the specifics, but it does serve as an interesting discussion for what Apple might offer in 2013.

Bunch of crap if a Retina iPad mini comes out in March. Although I would buy one.

More dependable clues to the schedule of the Apple TV release will come from parts manufacturers, not from analysts.

@reckless: Gene downs his white wine in a single gulp and calmly smashes his first-gen Apple TV through his Samsung TV screen. "It's over," he says.

I predict that in 2013 Apple's stock will both rise and fall and rise and fall.

I predict that some days will be sunny and others cloudy.

I predict some of his predictions will come true and others won't.

In other words - not much to see here.

The March 2013 iPad mini with Retina display sounds way too soon. Everything else sounds very plausible.

iPad mini retina sounds yummy

I have been VERY impressed with the iPad Mini AT&T model. I get 30-40mb on the AT&T LTE network consistently. That is as fast as my Fios fiber connection in some cases. Screen is very good also!

I don't believe the mini retina thing at all, not that early. How would they offer a retina mini so soon and at the same price point when they already said their profit margins aren't quite as high on the current iPad Mini compared to other stuff they sell.

I call bull$h*t. I highly doubt they will be updating the iPad mini that often. As soon as March? No, I don't think so. And it's not like it would be a crappy little update as I'm sure it will have retina display, updated iSight to 8MP, maybe storage changes since I see that happening at the next normal iPad release, A6X, 1GB ram, etc, etc. I see it getting the internals of the iPad 4 with maybe a little bit extra stuff due to technology advancing since then. Maybe the next iPad and iPad mini will have 1080p and higher picture quality on the FaceTime camera.

Seriously why buy an iPad 4. The next iPad thinner lighter full sized with the backing like the newer idevices is what we all have been waiting for.

$1,500 would be ridiculously expensive, relative to sets on the market even today.

That would be around £1130 including tax, and when you can get a nice 42" set for half that price I can't imagine what the Apple TV could do that would convince me to spend so much more.

I'm interested in replacing my iPad and the Mini looks nice. Truth is we may need 2. A Mini for the kids and a retina for us. But we still don't use our iPad 2 that much and yet there are times we could use to have two at once. I'm inclined to wait on the retina Mini as I keep hearing the screen is the downside.

I don't believe we will see a retina mini THAT soon followed by another mini update later that year??

I predict that I finally get my 27" iMac delivered to my house February 2013 after being told they were available in December 2012.
