Delivery 3-4 Weeks...expected 3/9 January 2013

The only positive thing....Luxembourg has the smallest VAT rate in europe...so It will be cheaper than other countries

Expected date initially was 10-17th, just had a text, it's shipped, expected on the 7th, this Fri :-)

I today have had confirmation of

Delivery: 19th December

I ordered the 27 inch base model with fusion drive last night on finance.

Delivery date is 3rd-9th January although I expect that to change to a later date as finance takes around 3 days to get back to Apple so my actual order date will be sometime from tomorrow at the earliest and more likely the end of the week if not next week.

I really like the fusion drive idea - 128GB for the OS and apps and use the rest for other data.

Does that mean that the drive is 1GB + 128GB SSD or 1GB minus 128GB? I'm not clear on that?

Fusion is 1TB 5400rpm and 128GB SSD.

I also applied for the 0% interest loan. Applied and approved on Monday evening and the next morning Apple acknowledged my order.

So does the Hard drive show up at 1.128GB? (minus formatted space)

Well it may go through quicker for me but I don't expect it before the new year realistically...

Stock on 27 is 7200, but if you get Fusion then its 5400+SSD

Thanks for posting,never knew that. Maybe Apple is making 2 kinds of Fusion drives, One with 5400 for Mini and 21.5 iMac for less heat, and 2nd with 7200rpm for the 27 ones.

I hope that's not true, I don't think I would have gone for the fusion drive if I knew that.

Brilliant cheers! Though the original tweet doesn't itself suggest any reason for making that assertion, ie. a teardown or spec listed elsewhere. I have faith though and it's great news if true!
