Which would you rather have?

loaded 27in imac + ipad or 15" rmbp + ipad?

Ive had both and I cant decide. The only reason I got rid of my imac for the rmbp was so I would not be tempted to game since I would never game on a laptop.

15" rMBP, iPad 5 Retina,iPad Mini 2r 😎

What Cheffy Dave said, although I would have to see both iPads in person (particularly whenever the mini goes retina.)

I agree, but it is Apples fault, they ruined me with the iPad 3 Retna, I however did sell it to Gazelle to buy the iP4, but since the iP5 is so close, I'm tiding myself over with good ol #1,iP1.😉

You can still game just fine on a 15" rMBP; you're not really doing much to curb your gaming that way. If you really wanted to curb your gaming, you'd have gotten either some form of 13" MacBook Pro (be it retina or non-retina) or you'd have gotten a Mac mini, as that way, you don't have a discrete GPU.
