Storage is expensive. It's cheapest from Apple than other company. SD cards are a joke stop suggesting it. 2013 is too early for 32 to replace 16 and so on. iOS is not dated. Consumers don't buy Android over iPad, they buy Android when they don't know the difference. Macrumors is a bunch of irrational whiners.
That about covers it.

Positively no one cares if you're excited about a boring storage option. I can promise you that.
This article from John Gruber is a good start. Is there something you need patched in iOS that doesn't work or are you just one of those guys who requires updates to feel good about software? I'm not being sarcastic and am genuinely curious why you think iOS needs an update.
... and most people would naturally use the cheapest SD cards they find, causing slow app startup times and stuttering HD video playback. And what would happen when the card fails? Besides, managing what to store in the card and what in the internal memory would be a hassle. There are many good reasons why there are no memory card slots.
Though I agree the price of storage is high, but it's more related to Apple's business model.
Right. Because this 128gb model is the only update Apple has planned for the iPad. Ever. Adding this 128gb model is requiring 100% of Apple's employees working day and night on it; nothing else is being done or planned to be done but this.
They're going to cancel the 5th generation iPad and just continue with the 4th gen with more storage. Forever.
I think consumers are starting to question the value proposition of an iPad... Android tablets for 1/2 the price are starting to look very attractive.
It is? 🙄Storage is expensive.
Check me off on "LOL" with that one. It's cheapest from Apple than other company.
A joke... why a joke? The fact that I can increase my storage space by adding an affordable little card is a joke? C'mon, bro.SD cards are a joke stop suggesting it.
🙄iOS is not dated.
Even though this ball can sway either way, I'd argue the exact opposite... not to be stubborn and refute what you have to say, but simply based on what I've seen. Most iOS users I know bought their device simply because they felt like they were getting the best thing out there. It's no secret that while iOS devices can fill the needs of more advanced individuals, the devices are made and designed for the simple minded. I wouldn't conclude this as a fact of life that people are buying an iPhone because they know exactly what it can do and know it'll do everything that they need to at work, but instead, they bought the iPhone because they had no clue alternatives existed and thought this was the end all/be all of phones.Consumers don't buy Android over iPad, they buy Android when they don't know the difference.
Nailed it.Macrumors is a bunch of irrational whiners.
Yeah, once again, I don't care. I want iOS 7. Apple needs to let go of the thought that their OS is timeless....it ain't.
Stock price goes down, innovation goes up. There's nothing for Apple to hold in their back pockets anymore.
.
Upload documents, media, etc WITHOUT Internet access or iTunes. Currently I cannot do this and would love to be able to. If you know of a way to do this, without jail breaking, please let me know!
We have yet to see some genuine innovation from Apple since the iPad launched 3 years ago.
128 will be great for those that want it, but personally, as someone who got the 64 original iPad, I'd never do that again. Too expensive to have it obsolete within two years via iOS software updates and I'm not interested in selling old and apply to new plus cash outlay the difference... For me, too expensive.

With my iPhone I now pull so much content directly over WIFI that the onboard storage is less and less relevant.
There'll be some iPad power users that'll like this extra space but for me why buy this when you could just get a MacBook Air?
Computer hard drives are very different to the flash memory in iDevices. Because unlike the flash memory in iDevices, which Apple has a total 100% monopoly over, computer hard drive makers have competitors. So if one hard drive company doesn't make a bigger hard drive once the technology is there and it's economical, someone else will, and with that will take all the business.
Apple is getting pathetic.
Can you imagine the price for 128gb iPad/iPhone!!??
Im so close to selling my iPhone 5 and getting a Galaxy Note 2.
Apple has dropped the ball since Jobs died.
Im a fanboy to nobody - I just want the best product available 🙂
