Dr. McKay macrumors 6502 Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: Belgium, Europe	Ubuntu full time on a Mac : is it safe ? I'm looking into buying a used Macbook (Pro) (late 2009, early 2010). I would use it full time running Ubuntu. My question is : is it safe ? With safe I mean : is power management in Ubuntu good enough so it doesn't screw up my battery and doesn't overheat the computer when using it full time ? In other words : is Ubuntu just as kind to the hardware as OS X is ? __________________ Mid 2011 21.5" iMac Quad Core i5 - iPad 2 Wifi - iPhone 4S - iPod 5.5G - Airport Express 2nd gen
