Looking at all these setups is making me really jealous.
I've just sold my MacBook Pro and I'm looking to invest in an iMac.
Just not sure whether to buy a 2011 or 2012 model, and I'm still undecided on what size to go for. I'd love the 27" 2012 but not sure that my budget will stretch that far

What SSD did you put in your 2009 Macbook pro? I have a mid 2009 and would like to do the same.

I researched A LOT! And then I found out, that the only SSD that would not give me the negotiated link speed at 1.5Gbps, but at 3.0Gbps instead, was the Samsung 830 SSD! And it does give me 3.0Gbps. It is about 200MB write and 250MB read.

My old 2009 is now fast again!

If you are looking for Speakers I got the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1's and they have been really nice. Not as "pretty" a product but good sound for the price.

I was asking because my Harman Kardon SoundSticks III 2.1 Channel Sound System was set to arrive today. They did and I can't believe how good they sound

Thank you. There is a cable modem, Western Digital NAS, and AirPort Extreme Basestation. I am trying to keep the bare minimum on the desk. My last set up was in another room on a much larger desk with a whole lot of junk on there. I'm still trying to find a place for my printer however. It's wireless so I can put it anywhere.

Never mind. I got beaten to the punch... sigh.

I am loving a lot of these set ups. A lot of thought and effort has gone into them. Mine is a plain black table with computer speakers, keyboard and mouse. That's it. Kind of boring, but I live in japan and Space is a valuable commodity.
