Software Updates for Mac OS X 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3
Software Updates for Mac OS X 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3
I recently split the 32GB SSD in my iBook G3 into five partitions, have installed the following operating systems:
I've downloaded everything from http://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/apple/, my next step is to find out which of those updates to install, and in what order. Does anyone have a machine that they installed one (or more) of these OSs on, that they then updated as far as possible, solely via Software Update, before 23rd July 2012? If you have, could you please post screenshot(s) like the ones I've attached for 10.4? You can also get the log file in some cases, for each OS it's a little different:

You might want to post links for the rest of the OS 9 updates, such as: 9.0.4, 9.1, 9.2.1.
Also for 10.0, 10.1, 10.2, and 10.3 MOST IMPORTANT: What about the G4 firmware updates? Update BootRooms? Quote:

10.3 and 10.4
YJ (a reader) and I went through the apple downloads and came up with a list for 10.3 through trial and error. I also kept note on what software update downloaded for a clean 10.4 install. Ill post the content from my much neglected blog

What about the firmware updates for those who are starting out on a Sawtooth or earlier PowerPC mac? I would assume all G4's at this point and some G5's. Can you provide the links for updating the firmwares on all these machines?
Thanks, |

However your mention of firmware updates reminded me that I previously installed the G3 Blue and White Firmware Update 1.1. From memory this was a prerequisite before OS 9 could even be installed. Edit: There are other updates available that don't come through Software Update, such as a QuickTime update. I don't have the version number on-hand, and I don't know whether there are any other "secret" updates besides QuickTime. Edit 2: Hmm, thinking about it some more, my install CD is for 9.1 and it needs to go 9.1 -> 9.2.1 -> 9.2.2. I don't understand why 9.2.1 is not listed in my install log unless I installed it manually for some reason
