I had a big slowdown two minutes ago. However, the link Arn provided told me I was connecting to the New York datacenter which must be the closest to me (I live in Québec to give you an idea). It seemed to be forums.macrumors.com that caused the slowdown, altough I'm not sure (haven't verified with Safari, I use Aurora).

Arn,

While I'm not having a problem with slow loading times, I have noticed some possible issues with the rendering of the two blogs (Mac and iOS).

I have a 2.4GHz Unibody, 10.7.1 Lion, and lately, Safari really seems to hang up for a about 6-7 seconds when I first click on the blog's link. Just seems a bit odd, because the pages don't have a ton of objects on them that is usually associated with laggy responses.

Any way you could look into this?

Thanks!

Edit: So it appears to be a problem with AdBlock (from the Safari extensions gallery). Odd that it doesn't affect MacRumor's main page...

This is not a site issue, as much as a routing/DNS issue.

Where are you located and what ISP are you using?

Arn,

How do I fix this? If it's routing or DNS, is it on my ISP alone? they claim no issue, yet I still get this several times a day just popping in here.

Then, it sorts itself after a while.

thx.

I'm having wait times of over 3 minutes today. It is making this forum unusable. FWIW, I'm using Firefox.

You are hitting the NetDNA Los Angeles Datacenter

I'm starting to have trouble with this again. But only with Chrome and FireFox. Safari hasn't gotten stuck on me yet. It happens in Firefox's Safe Mode and on multiple machines with a new user account. Started happening around the beginning of January. I'm hitting the New York CDN and here are some of the things that get stuck:

http://cdn.macrumors.com/js-new/global.js?v=5 - actually got a 404 on this one

Check which CDN you're hitting. And now Safari is starting to have problems.

Here's another stuck object: http://cdn.macrumors.com/js-new/js.js
