Meh. I can go as high as 500/200 but it would run me $400 per month. I am satisfied with this for $60, but it is annoying that my ISP is being greedy with my fiber speeds. I'm sure it will come down over time.

I love the download.... the upload is rather lacking though, I guess I'm not in a place to complain though. I'm very fortunate to have this among other things.

I was just looking at the new ATT "Gigapower" uVerse and they're offering 300/300 for $70 w/ a free upgrade to 1000/1000 coming this year. Just wish they would hurry and bring this to my area as this would be quite a speed bump at a cheaper price.

The speed wars are kicking off between the ISPs in my area. I'm sure we will have affordable gigabit soon. I am pretty surprised looking at this thread from where it started to today. People a few years ago would be blown away by the speed some people are getting.

For me 50 down is pretty good. At that speed I can do everything lightning fast. More speed would be nice but I think I have reached the point of diminishing returns if I need to pay more.

Having a torrent finish in 3 minutes instead of 4 isn't worth $20 per month to me personally.

I've a question:
I'm from Italy and here the wi-fi connections are ugly... I spend 30€ per month for having a 3Mbps in Down and 0.5 in Up.
How much do you spend in America for that connections?

Thanks ;)

For our connection which is 50mb costs us about $90 a month with basic cable service.

As you can see the wifi is not so great, I attribute that mostly to people in the buildings screwed up channels and channel widths.

Hawaii $60 50 Mbps.

I toured Italy 3 times in the past few years. It is getting better but I remember trying to find any internet in Rome was a needle in a haystack, and in Tuscany it was nearly impossible.

Last year it was better. I had hspa 4g almost everywhere, and wifi was available in some of our hotels.

Yes in some hotels in big cities there is reasonable connections, but the wifi in the houses is awful... We pay a lot for having almost nothing

The awkward moment where your phones data connection is faster overall than your home broadband connection.

I have Verizon FiOS right now and my plan is at 75Mbps download and 35Mbps upload. It's $89.99/mo, so I'm debating on going lower but I only see 15/15 as available and a $20 difference monthly. Oh, well, I do like the service and it's consistently fast and extremely reliable.

AT&T U-verse in Austin, TX. $70/month and it's going to be upgraded to a gig for free in a couple months. Doesn't dip during peak hours either. Super lucky!
