I've been following this thread for quite a while, but haven't joined in until now. It's somehow reassuring that we're all suffering through this mess together. Here's my order status to add to the list:
Ordered SG iPhone 6+ 64GB on 9/13 about 3pm PST
Current status: Preorder Processing, Expected Ship Date: 11/09/2014 to 11/27/2014 (dates haven't changed since the order went through).
I'm a Premiere customer, not that that seems to have had any benefit in this regard.
Just to dig it in, I ordered a non-plus SG 64GB phone for my wife at the same time, and it arrived on 9/22. I don't dare upgrade my current 4s to iOS 8, given how slow it already is on iOS 7...
I'm also frustrated with the promised $200 rebate for trading in our old phones. Went to an AT&T store with my wife's old phone, and was told that they could only issue credit for merchandise in the store, which is ridiculously overpriced and useless. They told us that if we do it online through the email link (which arrived after my wife's phone did), AT&T will give us a gift card that can be used for our monthly bill, as well as send packing materials to ensure safe shipping. (The guy specifically described a box that fits the phone perfectly.)
Turns out the "packing material" is a bubble envelope, not even big enough for a box to protect the phone, and the USPS prepaid label doesn't include tracking or insurance. In other words, you have to pay out of pocket to get the credit you can apply to your phone bill. (Obviously, for all of us who preordered, reducing the upfront cost of the new phone is already not an option.)
Also, they can't return your phone, so if you do send it in, you're stuck with whatever amount they determine the phone is worth, regardless of how accurate they are. The Trade-In program support phone number politely informs us that our call is important to them and hangs up without a queue. Haven't gotten a response to my email yet. Has anybody had any success actually getting the full $200 credit that they can apply to their bill?
OK, I think I have gotten the list updated with everyone who has replied since I posted it. When the next round of orders ship, I'll re-post the list so it doesn't get buried. Just as a side note, I am marking phones shipped once I see someone update their 877 status to processing, even though the phone may have not actually shipped yet.
Here is the list if anyone is looking:
