Hi, I was lucky enough to win an iPad Air 2 at Christmas, problem is in the settings menu I have no option to choose a mobile service provider - the "mobile" option simply isn't there. I have spoken to Apple on a live chat who told me that the serial number on the back CE0682 means it's a wireless only ipad but wasn't sure if a sim could be retro fitted? I can't see anywhere on the ipad to install one and was under the impression that air 2 had a built in sim? Any ideas on this greatly received as it's a be disappointing not to be able to use it outside of a wireless connection.

Thanks

Sounds like you got the wifi only model. Its still a great tablet, you just can't use it outside of wifi hotspots.

How about tethering it to your mobile phones data allowance when and where needed if wifi is not available.

Be aware this connection can use a data allowance faster.
