Hey guys I have been trying to get a job at my local Apple store for almost 2 years but haven't had any luck. The other day I was in there checking out the Apple watch and I asked one of the specialist if they had any recommendations for getting a job at the Apple store. The guy I spoke to said my best bet was to get a referral from someone who already works for Apple. I've asked pretty much everyone I know if they knew someone but no one did so I thought I would try my favorite forum. Currently I am going to school for computer science and would love to work for Apple while in school that way I might have a better chance of getting hired on at Apple corporate when I move back to California. Well guys thank you for your time to read this. If anyone one here works or know someone who works at one please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

If you are a really good communicator with ability to talk to people from all walks of life with computing skills stretching from none to expert, clearly and patiently, day in and day out .... that will probably increase your chances of working at the Apple Store I guess. Not sure Sheldon from Big Bang Theory would qualify!

Met a new inductee at an Apple Store recently whose experience was mainly on the Windows platform - but he was a great communicator ..... he couldn't answer my techy question, but his more experienced colleague did..... but in time .... recognising qualities and seeing potential in people is what Apple are generally good at I guess - so if you can tick those boxes .... you should have a good chance - oh .... and be presentable, well groomed with a pleasant personality .... that's a must.

Also, ask a good friend whose opinion you trust, who won't flannel you, exactly what your weaknesses are for doing this job - then work on those. Good Luck!

Specialists get paid a bonus if someone they refer gets hired.

Make friends with an employee, particularly one at the store where you want to work, and ask if they would do it for you.
