I was ordering late last night and I noticed that adding the Mini DVI adaptor in the MB configuration screen set the shipping to 3 days. Completely stupid, so I ordered it separately. This morning it's "Prepared for Shipment".

Result.

Update: Changed the order to get rid of the VGA cable

Estimated Delivery: 07 Nov, 2007 - 09 Nov, 2007

Thanks for that the guy on the phone didn't say that the vga cable would delay it and make it come from China. I'll buy the VGA cable tonight from a store.

That sucks! When I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago, I had the DVI-VGA cable on the order as well, and the whole lot arrived the next day. Must be something with the new model.

Anyway - that's enough of my gloating. I returned the old model yesterday so I could swap for a new one (still the base 2.0/1GB/80GB) and it seems like ofrever to be without it. The new MB supposed to ship tonight though, so fingers crossed for a Thursday delivery. :)

I'm tempted by the idea of the 115GBP 4GB kit, but I have to be realistic and acknowledge that all my toy money for the year is now gone. :(

There's always my Corporate Amex card, though! :)

But if you order 2 2Gb chips it is only ~£96 ;)

My new 2.2 Blackbook with 2GB ram and 250GB hard drive arrives Nov 8th! Replaces my 4 year old Dell laptop and complements my 1st gen Intel iMac. It also marks the first time I have been 100% Mac since the Powermac 6100.

PS: Shipped from China to Chicago on Nov 5th... showing delivery before 10:30 AM on Nov 8th with the free shipping!!!! Nice service IMHO.

I'll more then likely be erasing the drive and installing OS X again. I don't want all those languages on there.

Receiving has it and it needs to be delivered to my office.

I'd go and pick it up myself, as if it were a cup of coffee, just to leave the idea that "is not that important"... later I'd run to the office, close the door and well je^H^H, I mean open the box and start with the installation, ahem... :D

Which one is that? The closest I can find is this kit at £97.99 + VAT... :(

This is where cruical are really cheeky with dynamic prices, i didn't think they did it and tested it on my mac but i was just in uni on a Windows computer and had orcalogic open in one tab and amazon in another then went onto cruical and there was a discount waiting for me. It was this

here is my order confirmation, i opted for special delivery because the postage in my area is crap and didn't want it to go missing. I only ordered 1 because 4GB is overkill for my needs but if you order 2 it is going to be cheaper than the 2x2GB 'offer'. So get on a windows computer and see if you can get some dynamic prices going on.

It's cold and it's being trucked here as it is.

Primary receiving isn't in my building.

I couldn't see this offer either, so I deleted my crucial cookie and as if by magic I can now see the offer.

Now to cancel my other order...

10.5 (9A3110)

So it has a different build number to the shipping Leopard.

wonder if it has different X3100 drivers, on my iMac the X3100 drivers are reporting themselves as CFBundleVersion 5.1.6.

How does it feel? Speedy?
The benchmarks got slower with 2 GB installed.

17.32 GB used on disk out of the box. I forgot to run GeekBech at 1 GB of RAM. Does anyone REALLY want to see that?

What config is your ram in 2 x 1GB, 2 x 1GB

17.32 - erasing and installing mine on arrival then. If you do it will be interesting to see what you get it down to.

It's two sticks of 1 GB RAM.

I'm doing an Erase and Install right now.

Mine's in Shanghai. How long do you think it'll take to get to New York? Is the shipment air or ground based once it hits the US?

I'm in the same boat as you. I keep refreshing the FedEx page only to find my new MacBook is still sitting in Shanghai, too.

I have an estimated delivery date of Nov 8, 2007 by 10:30AM to Westchester NY.
