Hi Guys,
We have a quicksilver Single Core 867mhz, 1 gb of ram, 32 mb Vram running Leopard.
Well we got a genuine 1.0 dual cpu, we removed carefully the 867mhz
(of course I pulled the power cable and we grounded ourselves and the screwdrivers) and we then placed the thermal paste between the "new" cpu and it's heatsink, we left it for a min and then we fired up the quicksilver.
Well all we get is a red light on the mobo, the power light comes on and goes off, the PS runs and the CPU fan spins, but no HDD activity.
We decided to hit the cuda switch, nothing. Then we dremove the power cable and battery replaced it with a new battery and hit the power...same thing, We stripped the unit down.....same thing.
So we placed the old cpu back and guess....same thing.
I at my wit's end. Any suggestions?
Thx
