For those of you that have ordered new PB could you post if your PB has shipped (or expected shiping date), BTO or Standard, and Date/Time Ordered.

Mine shipped thismorning. The tracking number does not come up on FedEx yet.

Anxiously awaiting my 15" SD, BTO (128MB VRAM, 80GB HD), which will be replacing my 800MHz G3 iBook, just back from its fourth logic board repair.

Ordered 4:43PM PST on 1/31

Shipped today, 2/3 (order status had previously said "on or before 2/8"), confirmation email from Apple in the early hours of the morning. Since then I've been trying the FedEx tracking number repeatedly, but twelve hours later, it's still not in the system :(

A few hours later I got my invoice email, which interestingly contains a different tracking number. That one's not in the system either :rolleyes:

Must find something to distract me from refreshing the FedEx site..

Seems that first the 12" shipped then the 15" and soonly the 17"'s

I think mine would have shipped today. However I got an email from apple saying that my creidit card would not allow them the money. I called right away gave them a ccredit card with a higher daily spending limit and am still waiting. I was told they dont carge untill they ship so thats why I think they were going to ship but so far no email from them.

I had a similar situation - credit card company decided to hold payment for security reasons: I don't usually buy big ticket items on the particular card I used - it's a joint card with my wife, who qualifies for the educational pricing - so this was an exception to my usual spending habits, and I guess that set off a red flag with the CC company. I discovered this when I checked my order status on arriving home from work yesterday.

After two calls to both the credit card company and Apple, the problem was resolved and my PB shipped out about eight hours later. The card problem may have caused a delay, but not for too long.

So hopefully your Powerbook will also be on its way soon...

I had the problem with my credit card too--I don't use it very often for large purchases. My credit card company called me around 5 PM EST on the day I placed the order to confirm it with me. Also, my ship notification didn't have the carrier listed. It turns out that my laptop shipped UPS. Interestingly enough, despite the fact that my laptop just left Anchorage, Alaska, a couple of hours ago, UPS predicts that it will still be delivered tomorrow (the 4th).

Mine shipped from Shanghai, China, and then to Anchorage, Alaska. No updates since then yet for me. But it shipped via UPS, instead of FedEx like everything else they sent.

Apple Says it shipped the 3rd but fedex shows it left the 4th (time zone difference?)

Mine has shipped now I am glad after the CC problem It did not delay it as much as I thought. You guys were right about the amount of delay it was an additional 8 hours. I find it funny that it shipped from shanghai I have never received a package from so far away. Unfortunately they say it wont be here until the 9th that sucks I cant wait for it to get here.

Ordered a 15" stock on 1/31/05 as well and it shipped on 2/3/05. Currently it's in Shanghai with an expected delivery date of 2/8/05 (in Canada).

Since this is my first Mac, I'm having a terrible time waiting. I'm thinking of calling Fedex and asking them to leave it at the Shanghai depot willcall window for me to pick up. I've always wanted to go to China... okay, okay, maybe I'll wait for it in Canada.

Also, I guess my screen name will have to change... Hard to believe I'm already on the 12th step of my PC abuse program (12th step = order a mac).
 
Last night (2/3/05) I ordered a 12" Powerbook, SuperDrive, 100 GB HD, and 768 MB RAM (cheaper than installing it myself)... supposed to ship on or before 2/15/05.

Speaking of memory, I was sad to discover that Outpost.com was completely out of their 1GB stick for the PowerBooks: HERE

However, I printed out that page and took it over to my local Fry's where they were selling the exact same chip for $200 (still a bargan compared to other 1GB sticks). They even gave me a $15 discount. This would be especially good for all you 12" owners who want to break the 1GB barrier.
