MacBook Shipping Times

Since it doesn't seem like a thread has been started yet, I'd like to know when everyone (who isn't so lucky to have an Apple store nearby) is expecting to receive their MacBook.

Mine was ordered online in Sweden on the day of release and has an estimated latest shipping date of May 25th and latest delivery date of June 6th. I really hope it comes sooner! :D

Hmm... earlier shipping date by two days and delivery date one day later. TNT in Norway must really suck! :p I also think it should be sooner, their estimates are usually very cautious. *crosses fingers*

In all fairness to TNT, it sucks in Sweden as well. :p

Just to name one incident, a package was out for delivery and I was waiting patiently at home, only to see at the end of the day that the status for the delivery was: "failed to deliver". Apparently, the doorcode to our apartment building wasn't properly put through to TNT (while it was displayed on the shipping slip!) and the TNT guy couldn't find it, so he decided to leave. Now, he could have a) just called me and asked for the code or b) tried opening the door anyway, because at the time the locking mechanism on the door was broken!

Suffice it to say, I was quite pissed at TNT. :mad: You all know the adrenaline and anxiousness when waiting for a new Mac when its "out for delivery... well imagine the disappointment and frustration when you have to wait yet another day to receive and unpack it... :eek:

That's pretty quick! Did you order it BTO or standard? Maybe they're getting a large shipment of standard MacBooks in to Ireland or Holland on the 23rd. Unless of course yours is BTO. :)

Doesnt matter if it's BTO or Not. His shipping date is still 23rd same as our own. Why his delivery date so soon in comparison is a different thing altogether....

I ordered 1 hour after launch and i'm in Ireland.

Estimated Ship date 23rd May, Delivery 6th June ??????

Are ASUSTEK in the UK manufacturing this model? If so you would think European delivery wouldnt take so long. 2 weeks in my case????

I just ordered now and mine is Estimated Ship date 24th May, Delivery 7th June

I did upgrade the HD to 80gb but this makes no difference in shipping time...

Hope it comes sooner though!

2gb white isn't shipping until the 23rd at MacMall. :mad:
I would just go pick up from the NYC store (just went and played on one, pretty sweet), but the Macmall one is cheaper and no tax. Patience..
 
Mine is a 2ghz BTO and it's supposed to be here on the 26th. 9...more....day....AHHHHH!!!
 
i ordered tuesday afternoon once they were announced...upgraded to an 80 GB drive...expected ship is 23rd and received by 31st...31st?!?! i'm in california and shipping is going to take 8 days?

Yeah, they usually ship directly from China when they're this "fresh", but I doubt it will actually take 8 days to deliver. Better than my delivery date anyway. :rolleyes: :eek:

Delivery is getting bizzare? Surely it takes as long to get to the UK from China as Ireland and I'm 4 days more?

Typical bloody Apple, Typical bloody TNT... :rolleyes:

Though the last replacement powerbook 15" I got in Feb, only took 4 days to get to me after shipping from China, yet the one before that 10 days?
 
I ordered mine about 2 hours ago..

Shipping: 24th May or before
Delivery: 6th June or before

I'm in the UK..

Ordered mine (BTO) the day after release. Says that shipping will be on the 24, with delivery on June 1. I also live in California, about 2 hours east of Apple headquarters.

I also visited my local Apple store to see the machine for real before making the final decision to order it. One of the employees says that they got an order of 30 on the day of the announcement and they were all sold out that day.
 
Mine just shipped too! I got an email when it did. This is five days ahead of when they initially said it would ship, so I'm very pleased!
