I was talking to a friend about this yesterday. We agreed that July 31st is likely given the state of DP4 and the testing time necessary for things still to be fixed and tweaked.
Just not enough time for early or mid-July.
Solid retort.

With new Mac Pros and Minis due at the end of July i guess Lion will be at the end of July.
I just can't see how they can have a reliable Lion out by then.
I believe it's one of the 31 days in July.![]()
Anyone on the forum running a book on the release date or is gambling not allowed on the forums?
Just wondering but has Apple ever released two products in the same week? Lion and Mac Pros?
I'm thinking that Lion could come a little before the hardware updates.
(I'm personally hoping that Lion comes July 1st, I'm excited. But knowing how people are saying it's not ready yet, I'm guessing mid to late July as well.)
