Gmail Rejects Password After 2 Years of Use
Out of the blue, my Gmail account is rejecting my password that I use to login. I'm using Apple Mail, with my POP Gmail account as my inbox. Every time I enter in my password, it rejects it.
Everything was fine for 2 years and then all of a sudden this happened. I've read some things about it going away after a couple of days. Are there any alternatives to the "sit and wait it out" method? Thanks

Can you log into the web interface at www.gmail.com?

Thats the obvious first thing to try I'd be worried that someone had hacked into my account if that was me.

After your logged into the Gmails web interface, it might be a good idea to tie your cell phone number to your mail account.
That way if anyone does hack your account, you have a recovery method. |

Well I went to the Gmail website and logged in. They confirmed that there had been suspicious activity on my account. I have a new password and so far, so good. I also put in my cell number for a recovery method.
Thank you all for the help!
