Mac os X 10.7??
Hello
I'm still a mac os x 10.6.8 user who would like to update to 10.7. I'm just wondering if I update to 10.7, what would be happened to boot camp? should I install it again? or is it separated thing? Also, in order to prevent any data lost, how do I use time machine? do I back up in a separated hard driver? Please answer it as simple as possible. thank you |

When I updated, nothing happened to me. Boot Camp was still there when the update ended. Everything worked just fine. Naturally, you may want to download newer Boot Camp drivers and then install them, but that's optional.
You should use Time Machine, or any other backup programme, such as SuperDuper!, while in Snow Leopard and then do the update, but there shouldn't be any problems. |

You'll need to get an external drive and partition/format it for HFS+ in the Disk Utility (Applications>Utility>Disk Utility) Then enter Time Machine and it will ask if you want the newly attached/formatted drive to be used for back ups.
