I think it's fantastic that they've finally decided to add a grill to the PB. Having a portable computer is nice, but it's even better when you can grill a tasty burger as you browse MR on the beach.
 
I'd have cried like a baby if that happened to my PB. How hot do you figure that thing got to crisp up like that?

BTW, is there a high rez version of that to be had?
 
well looks like the "never to be built g5 powerbook" was going to use the same formfactor. but i guess no one will ever really know
 
A would wager money that that was once a Powerbook G4.

Exploding batteries are pretty cool, as long as it doesn't happen to me.

What's under there on the 17"? The battery on the 12" inch is on the right side, front corner.
 
wow. that must be some battery issues. If that was just to randomly happen to me I think i would cry. Another thing theyre goin with intel.

Actually, I think it is a 15". Looks like it has the same number of rows of "holes" as my PB. The battery on the 15" is under the left front corner.
 
There was definitely a thread on this a while back. Can't remember what the conclusion was, but speculation was about the same as in this thread.
