What format is the movie? What player are you using? Does it work on a computer?

It's an avi. I've downloaded multiple movies on my ipad and the same thing happens when trying to play on the iPad. When I download the file on my computer it works fine when playing it on vlc on my computer. I've opened the file through vlc player and also tried isafeplay on iPad

You really have some nerve to illegally download a movie off of a torrent website and ask for help as to why it's not working on your ipad. How about you actually pay for the movie on itunes and then you won't have any problems. And don't tell me to what you are doing isn't illegal. How many movie torrents are being downloaded that are not infringing on copyrights? No one help this guy. Let him figure it out himself if he is going to pull this crap.

Second, they don't actually loose money, becose one persons income don't change if he/she uses torrents. Hence the amount of monye he/she spend on entertaiment don't change either. He/she will still go to cinema/consert etc. He/she will still buy their fav. cd or movie. this is the opinion of one of court in Switzerland about anti-torrent case. Third, all that anti-torrent mambo-jambo is just like supporting Anti-Piracy act. The internet is the only thing in this world where there is actually freedom. We can't loose that. The thing is if your art is really worth something it will be profitable no metter what. But if you make justinbier-kind-of-sh**t, torrents will make a huge hole in your pocket (but still that SOB will make a lot of money on concerts). I know many examples when bands didn't sell their albums, they just distribute them for free. And they became famous. And you know what? They still allow to download for free all their music. Of course, you can buy their cd, IF YOU WANT. This is the core of the freedom-of-choice concept. And all that anti-torrents talk just illiminates our freedom. You don't whant to help that guy only because he downloaded some torrents?! Why?! He stole your money?! He killed your dog with torrents?! NO!!! You don't have no good reason to say things like that! It is same if some one came in your store with yellow bag and you've said: "i won't sell you nothing because you have yellow bag". That makes you an as****e. And same situation but with person of differen sexual orientation or religion? That makes you a racist. It is all about freedom of our choice.

I think theres a couple of apps that let you stream directly from the download link , if its a direct link atleast but you can have more options if your device is jailbroken.

What's your opinion on downloading iOS apps illegally, or just stealing from a shop? I mean, stealing crap movies etc from a shop? Would you do that? Of course not, you'd only do it online because you can get away with it. There are other ways to defend your online freedom. Also, that last paragraph is incredibly odd. I mean, I've no idea what you're going on about and am assuming you were under the influence of something when writing it.

Reply to all))
a) my point: it makes no sense of thinking of torrents like immoral thing or crime. Because it does no harm! Stealing real things from the shop, killing etc - these are real crimes and they can not be compared to downloading torrents. No one is actually loosing money, health or life. b) piracy should stimulate creation of free legal content. So, for example, if someone make new blockbuster, it should be available for FREE download in HD quality. Yes, they should sell dvd's and blu-rays, because still people will buy it. c) closing torrents and making them illegal is dead-end way, because there always will be new trackers and so on. Torrents should be legal instead, but censored for real immoral things (like under18 porn or racist content for example). d) ok, I apologies to bieber. It was unnecessary and subjective. My point was: no one, even famous musicians don't loose money on torrents. They don't loose money = it is not a stealing = it is not immoral. e) I didn't say nothing about "doing it for free". Providing their content for free - yes. And I know bands, who can provide their content for free (and yes, they still have their cd in shop) and still provide their families, because they are talented. f) Same with apps. Especially when we talk about iOS apps. Most of people don't want to make jb for various of reasons. If 2 out 10 people download app on jb iDevece it still will not be crime. Because If their was no jb at all these 2 people still would't buy this app.

@deltoros Point 'a' So if you download something illegally and do not pay the £10 or whatever it is to purchase something your not stealing? To the rest of your points your talking out of your £&@£! Stealing is taking something without someone else's permission or not paying for goods! If you go to work and your boss fails to pay you for 10 hours each week what would you class that as? Where I live once is a mistake continually is theft!

a) It's still theft. Think about it. Say you release a film, a game, or even an application, and 50,000 people buy it but 10,000 don't. You've lost 10,000 sales, 10,000 people have taken the product you've worked on for free. No one would like that to happen to them. It's still an immoral act, not one of the most immoral acts but still wrong. There's little to differentiate it from stealing from a shop for example. b) Why should such content be free to download in HD quality? You just want to freeload the content while others pay for it? Where's the logic in that? It's like the people who illegally download 69p apps on the iPhone and justify it because they spent £400+ on the device. All that'll happen is that the companies will turn around and charge the paying consumers more. c) Torrents aren't necessarily illegal as far as I know. It depends entirely on the content of the torrent and whether or not it's copyrighted. d) How do you actually know this? It's a bold claim, I'd love to see some evidence proving that musicians don't lose money from illegal torrents. e) Nothing to say here. f) Oh ********. People just do it because they think "Hmm, I can either pay for it or get it for free and get away with it". It's even worse here as a lot of iOS developers are indie developers and even post here, just normal individuals. That's where the morality goes out of the window. I'm quite tolerant about downloading illegally, and I agree with some of your points but my issue is with your awful attempts at justifying it. Just man up, admit you like downloading stuff for free and move on. Leave all this freedom crap out of it.

I do agree. Piracy is wrong though, surely if you've spent £k on a Mac then a couple of hundred of £ is nothing? But yeah, the apps on the iPad get a bit boring after a while
So I rarely buy anything and just use the free ones xD
