Do many mac users use dropbox?

I don't. I prefer nothing or Google Drive. I just don't like dropbox's sync and stuff and I don't need to transfer any files to my phone. If I need that - I email myself. Not a big problem.
 
I do too. Works great for syncing PDFs to my iPad (and to read them I use PDF Expert, which has built-in DropBox compatibility).

I have drop box and have no use for it at all and would gladly trade it for apple mail as it was in Snow Leopard. In LION its horrible....at best.

Is there a link to where they promise the additional storage? Something more official than a claim by a forum post? In other words, an official statement in response to this post:

So you were thinking I just made it up? Here.

If you follow DropBox development at all you would know that they have had this beta out for a couple months and initially you could get up to 5GB free by helping testing, and it was later dropped to 3GB. This has been widely reported on various Mac and other web sites.

User can click on this new link and it will show their Dropbox storage and any bonuses earned.

I told it you it did exist and also supplied the new 3GB bonus limit. I would not post the info if I did not know it to be accurate.

So you're saying there's something wrong with wanting an official statement from the Dropbox website, to substantiate your statement? Surely you know how much misinformation exists on the web. That's why I'm always happy to post links to my information sources, so people don't have to take my word for it. I would not presume to expect people who don't know me personally to simply assume I can speak with authority for another business with which I have no official affiliation.

Simply posting a link would have sufficed. Asking for one wasn't an attack on your credibility. It's too bad you take it as such.
 
Yup, its a great way to sync my files across multiple platforms, including my iPad, iPhone, Windows and Macs
 
Yes, it's very useful to sync between Mac/Windows/iOS devices. Also you can share folders between users, that's very handy.

Also I can add that almost all users who downloaded our apps use DropBox (we use it to sync between Mac and iOS app versions).
