Either with the 5W charger that shipped with it, or the 12W I bought.

12W in my makeshift charging station
5W anywhere else or on the move

Oh and the USB ports on my work laptop's docking station if it ever needs charging when I'm in the office. Which I don't expect will be often.

Charging mine directly from a USB equipped Power strip, it had enough wattage to charge my iPad 2.

I'm using the new 12w charger. Took me 2:22 last night to go from 14 to 100% charged.

Right now off a generator in my garage because I'm still without power from Sandy.

So the mini can indeed charge faster with the 12w?

I am sacrificing virgins to the gods asking for electricity.

Really, just the standard plug, but I did order the new 12 amp charger from apple.

I use the iPad 2 size charger for it, like I do for my phone. If I don't have that, then the standard small one. Definitely chargers faster with the larger charger.

Are we sure that it is not harmful to the battery to use the higher watt charger?

That seems to be the case however I never tried the 5w charger that came with the mini to compare it. I've heard 5 hours for full charge on the 5w but have not confirmed that.

As for it damaging the battery, Apple says its compatible with the mini so I picked one up. It's faster than my 10w charger but by how much I'm not sure.

Posted this last night:

Here is my unscientific results. I connected to my 12w charger when my battery was at 14%. It took 2 hours and 22 mins to get to 100% charge.

14% at 9:53 pm
59% at 10:53 pm
95% at 11:53 pm
100% at 12:15 am

Potato battery.

Sir sly tho... Your iPad should have came with a plug that goes into the wall. You must unfold the tines and insert them into the holes on your walls receptacle.

I've consistently found that my Mini charges about 20% an hour with the 5w.
